This was a poem dedicated to a crush of mine at office in Indiranagar-Bangalore.
Did you know, queen of my dreams?
My heart is your prisoner it seems.
Everyday, a glimpse of you I yearn,
In worship of your beauty I burn.
Your dreamy eyes, an oasis of calm,
In times of pain, a soothing balm.
In your voice, I hear angels sing,
How eager, my ears await your coming.
Of ocean waves remind me your hair,
Playful as they sway without a care.
How I envy the ground you tread,
Couldn’t it have been my heart instead?
Sheer ecstasy is when our eyes meet,
A musical rhythm my heart does beat.
O maiden, the color of evening sun!
Your innocent spell’s so hard to shun.
What more said about how I feel,
Yours to rule, my life I seal.
