This was a Valentines Day (2007) creation for my then fiancé Neesha. In the poem I had meant to express what it was that attracted me to her.
My friend, lover, wife-to-be,
How many roles donned by thee!
Sometimes a child, sometimes a woman,
Sometimes like an angel, sometimes human.
With ease you change each attire,
Assuming each form, as you desire.
This charm, this mystery of yours,
Like some enchanting spell, it lures.
To all others, now I’m numbed,
To your charms only, I’ve succumbed.
And thus, I come to thee,
On this day, yours to be.
